How to attract more of the things you want

Wednesday, 27 January 2016
Thinksgrowprosper.org

Have you ever heard any of these phrases?

“Energy flows where attention goes.”

“What you focus on expands.”

“What you empower, you attract.”

This idea has been stated in many different ways, but the message is basically the same:

You get more of what you focus on, so focus on what you want.

These aren’t just nice sounding phrases—they actually have real world applications. In fact, applying this concept in my own life has dramatically increased my happiness, success and overall mental health.

I’m going to share with you why this concept is so important and how you can also benefit from it by applying it to your own life.

Here's the deal:

Whatever you give focused and intense energy or emotion to is what you will tend to get more of in your life. You’ve probably observed this on your own already.

Here's an example from my life: There was a time when I was radically changing my diet and was adopting a healthier lifestyle. The thought I would have on repeat was, "no one will understand."

Can you guess what happened?

People did not understand me! They didn't understand why I had chosen to shift my habits.

Was it that I surrounded myself with unsupportive people? OR could it have been that my focus on the fear they wouldn't understand colored my behavior?

Looking back, I now realize that it wasn't that I had unsupportive people in my life, it was that I was focusing on the doubts people had regarding my lifestyle changes and was interpreting them as unsupportive.

Because of this, I was more defensive and I often came off as judgmental.

Eventually, I became excited enough and focused enough on improving my own health that I was no longer paying attention to what others thought.

And guess what?

All of a sudden people seemed supportive of what I was up to. So much so that I even became a resource for friends and family who were trying to make improvements to their health and diet.

The amazing lesson: You will continue to get more of whatever it is you are giving your energy to, regardless of whether that energy is positive or negative.

What you love, you empower. What you fear, you empower. What you empower, you attract.

Emotions like love, fear, gratitude and anger are highly energized states and all have potent creative power.

So understand that when you are constantly complaining about or dwelling on something you dislike, you are also paradoxically bringing it to life and making it more real.

For example, if you're constantly stressing about not being able to afford things or pay your bills and you're always thinking about money while in this negative energy state, you're not actually focusing on money, you're focusing on the lack of it.

In this example, you would shift your focus to the things you can afford, the bills you can pay, and the things you are doing to increase your income.

It's a subtle distinction, but a very important one.

Complaining or worrying about something only reinforces and perpetuates those unwanted realities. Too often, people give their energy and attention to the things they don't want and not enough to the things that they do.

If you do not want something in your life, don't give it any attention!

Don't create campaigns against it.

Don't try and bring awareness to it.

Instead, bring awareness to what you prefer. Focus on that and breath life into that.

It's very simple:

Talk about your blessings more than your burdens.

Focus on what you want, not on what you don't.

Promote what you love instead of bashing what you hate.

Imagine what could go right instead of worrying about what could go wrong.

You get the idea.

Focus on that which you would like to experience more of and you will draw more things like it into your life.

You get what you focus on, so focus on what you want.

I have this mantra on repeat in my mind. It may seem simplistic but it's the simple things that are often the most powerful.

None of this is to discount the very real negative experiences and circumstances that we may face throughout our lives and the impact that they have on our mental and emotional states.

I simply share these concepts with you to help you deal with the everyday challenges you face but also to help you be more prepared to deal with the more rare and grave negative events that may happen.

Much love,

Secret of Saving

Monday, 2 December 2013

“There is great value, even if you are in debt, in using some of your money to create savings. Savings are a contribution to the flow of money in our society, for money that is save can be circulated and used to create more wealth. Savings give you resources that allow you to be self-sufficient. Savings are also a positive affirmation that you have more than you need at the moment. As you feel abundant, you become magnetic to even more money.”

“If you have stored money, you are less likely to be influenced by the ebb in the normal ebb-and-flow cycle. Nature uses this principle; just observe squirrels storing their nuts for the winter, or bears hibernating to save their energy.”

“The money you save acts as a “money magnet” to attract more money. The larger your savings, the larger your magnet.”

“The greatest benefit of saving money is that it allows you to get used to a larger and larger flow of money and the energy it represents, which is what you are asking for if you want increased abundance.”

"Balance of finances is about money in and money out. Alignment of energies is about energy in, energy out. And you just can’t not wish well for someone and receive energy in. In other words, the more well-wishing you are of others, the more energy flows into you. The more abundant you feel, the more abundance you flow, the more abundance flows to you. You really want to see someone pinching off the purse-strings to abundance, look for those really stingy people. In other words people who are worried about every dollar they spend are those who have their valves shut down very closely."

Remove Your Attention from the City’s Potholes

Tuesday, 5 November 2013

“As I focus upon what I want, I feel good. If I focus upon lack of what I want, I will feel bad.”
So let’s take it a little further. Can you focus upon more than one thing at a time? You cannot. Can you feel more than one way at a time? Can you feel good and bad at the same time? You cannot. And so, is it not logical—for it certainly falls within the guidelines of the Law of Attraction—that if you are focusing upon what you do want, you cannot, at the same time, be focusing upon what you do not want? And, if, when you focus upon what you want, you will feel good; and, if, when you feel good, you would be in the positive mode of attraction, then would not your most important work be to look for the positive aspects of all things, to look for the parts of all things that are uplifting to you—and to get your attention off of the potholes?
Sometimes, when first learning about Deliberate Creation, our physical friends will worry. They are afraid that every negative thought they think is going to reach out into the cosmos and bring some monster into their experience. We want to ease your fear bv reminding you that you are living the balance of your thought, so it requires quite a bit of thought about something before it will manifest in your experience. But as a people who have lived in a society that is predominantly oriented toward criticism and to what is wrong, always wanting to face the facts, you have become those, even in your individual thoughts, who predominantly worry, rather than predominantly know that all is well.
We want to encourage you to give more of your attention to what makes you feel good—not something so radical that you must control every thought—just make a decision that you will look ‘or what you want to see. It is not a difficult decision to make, but it can make a big difference in what you bring into your experience.

Inspiration

Tuesday, 29 October 2013

“There is nothing more delicious than to have conscious awareness of a personal desire, conscious recognition of resistance that is preventing or slowing the manifestation, conscious releasing of that resistance, and then conscious recognition of the manifestation. That is Deliberate (Conscious) Creation at its best!

It seems a paradox to some—in the beginning—while it is not paradoxical at all: “I want these things because I would feel better in the having of them, but my awareness of their absence prevents me from having them. But if I can find a way of feeling better even without having them, then they can be mine.” A powerful Universal truth is simply this: you cannot attract the presence of something wanted when predominantly aware of its absence.

A withdrawal of attention from the unwanted condition is necessary in order to release it from your experience, but it is also necessary to cease the resistant thought that pinched off the Well-Being to begin with. This meditation process helps accomplish both of those things, and it lays the basis of a new and improved outlook on life... You will find it easier to find increasingly better things to think about. It will be easier to see the positive aspects in situations and people. You will find compliments flowing from you, and you will feel appreciation for more things.

The less resistant thoughts you think, the better you will feel; and the better you feel, the less resistant thoughts you will think. And because of all of that, your point of attraction will improve, causing improved manifestation of relationships and finances, as well as bodily conditions.”

Sunday, 27 October 2013

Hello my amazing readers, hope everything is going well for you. I am gonna be sharing some amazing wisdom from Abraham Hicks. Enjoy and apply.

We want you to understand that if you continue to look at what-is and speak of what-is, you will not find the improvement that you desire. You may see a parade of changing faces and places, but your life experience will essentially show no improvement. If you want to effect substantial change in your life experience, you have to offer substantially different vibrations, which means you must think thoughts that feel different as you think them.

The void that these people are feeling cannot be filled with things or satisfied with action, because the feeling of void is about the vibrational discord between their desires and their chronic habits of thought. Offering better feeling thoughts, telling a different story, looking for positive aspects, pivoting to the subject of what you really do want, looking for positive what-ifs – that’s how you fill that void. And when you do, a most interesting thing will occur in your experience – the things you’ve wanted will begin to flood into your experience. But these things that you’ve been wanting will flood into your experience not to fill your void, because that void no longer exists, they flow in because your void no longer exists. Certainly, you will gather many magnificent things into your experience. Our message is not for you to stop wanting, having or doing. Our message is for you to want and accumulate and do from your place of feeling good.

Your business was created by virtue of your thought, not your action. Many people feel disagreement with that statement because they believe they are seeing the results of physical effort and action. We certainly do not disagree that you live in a world of action and that results can be attributed to action, but when you realize that your vibration plays a far greater role in the outcomes that you‘re producing than does your action, and you begin to put more emphasis on your vibrations, thoughts and your emotions, you‘ll discover a powerful leverage of your time and energy that will profoundly affect your outcomes. In short, you will achieve far greater results with much less time and effort.

The most valuable skill that you could ever develop is the skill of directing your thoughts toward what you want, to be adept at quickly evaluating all situations and then quickly coming to the conclusion of what you most want, and then giving your undivided attention to that. There is tremendous skill in directing your own thoughts that will yield results that cannot be compared with results that mere action can provide.

7 Habits of Highly Positive People: The Secret to Constant Happiness

Wednesday, 16 October 2013

1. Don’t let bad things pull you down

Highly positive people take bad things and see the good things in them.

Bad things can happen to anyone. The difference between a positive person and a negative one isn’t the events that happen to them but how they respond to those events. While negative people let bad things pull them down, positive people don’t. They take bad things and make the best out of them.

As Randy Pausch once said, “We cannot change the cards we are dealt, just how we play the hand.”

A great example is Oprah Winfrey, one of the most influential women in the world. She was, for a time, the world’s only black billionaire. Oprah may be rich and successful today, but she faced extreme hardship as a child.

When she was born up till the age of six, Oprah lived in rural poverty with her grandmother. She was so poor that she often wore dresses made of potato sacks, for which the local children made fun of her for.

When she was nine, Oprah was sexually abused–by the people closest to her, her cousin, uncle, and a family friend. At 13, after years of abuse, Oprah ran away from home. She was pregnant at 14 but her son died shortly after birth.

She attended an affluent suburban high school, Lincoln High School, but had her poverty constantly rubbed in her face as she would ride to school with fellow African-Americans who were servants of her classmates’ families.

Despite this extreme hardship, Oprah did not let it get her down. She overcame her adversity to become a benefactor to others, first becoming a radio anchor at 19, then having her own daytime talk show The Oprah Winfrey Show at 22. Through the show, she has helped millions of people around the world, empowering people to take charge of their life and drawing from both her life lessons and her interviewees’ life lessons to inspire others.

If Oprah had caved in the face of hardship, she would never be where she is in life. She is such a positive light because she chose to make the best out of difficulties she was dealt with and subsequently use these lessons to help others.

Likewise for you, don’t ever let yourself get pulled down by your difficulties. Rather, ask yourself what you can learn from them and how you can turn them around to create the life you seek. Such a proactive approach is the start to living an empowered, happy life.

2. Appreciate every good thing that comes your way

Highly positive people are grateful for every good thing that comes their way.

A month ago I conducted a 14-day gratitude challenge on my personal development blog, Personal Excellence, to over 200 participants. Aside from the assigned gratitude tasks to be done one task a day, I asked my participants to identify at least three things to be grateful for every day.

While it was awkward to deliberately find things to be grateful for at the beginning, many participants quickly eased into the task after a couple of days. From friendships, to daily coffee, to burnt toast, to family vacations, to life itself, many gained a new-found appreciation for these very things which they tended to take for granted.

The participants emerged from the challenge more appreciative and positive of life, even though their lives have technically not changed much compared to before the challenge.

Many of us tend to focus on the negative things in life and that naturally makes us feel negative. Why not pay attention to the many great positive things in our lives instead? For example, instead of being upset at the traffic jam you are in right now, why not be grateful for the vehicle you get to drive?

Instead of lamenting about your lousy boss, why not be grateful that you have a boss to lament about as opposed to being retrenched or unemployed? You’ll be surprised to see how many great things you already have going on with this little mindset shift.

3. Lead a well-rounded life

Highly positive people lead a well-rounded life. This means they don’t let work take over their life; neither do they let their relationships override their personal agenda.

I used to devote all my attention to work, to the point where I deprioritized my social life and my personal leisure. While it was great fun working since my work (helping others to grow) is my passion, I became very uninspired after a while because I was neglecting my other life areas. This was when I realize the importance of a well-rounded life to my emotional well-being.

So today, I ensure that I devote time to the core areas of my life: career, love, family, friends, self (through recreation), and contribution. My life wheel video shares the 11 core areas that make up our lives (collectively termed as the “life wheel”) and how to start achieving a 10/10 in all the areas.

4. Deal with your problems right away; don’t let them linger

Highly positive people deal with their problems right away rather than ignore them.

One thing I consistently teach on my blog and in my coaching is not to ignore your problems. Because ignoring your problems doesn’t mean that they will go away. Often times they will linger around and weigh you down subconsciously, even though you don’t realize that.

For example, I used to be an emotional eater where I would eat in response to my emotions like stress and sadness. For a long time I never dealt with this problem, choosing instead to drown myself in food whenever I felt bad.

Later I realized that I was utterly miserable because my stress eating (a) was causing me to gain extra weight, and (b) had turned me into a slave of food. It was only two years ago when I began tackling this issue and a year ago when I achieved complete resolution.

A simple tip to deal with your problems is to (a) keep a record of all outstanding issues you’d like to deal with, then (b) work on them one at a time. Sometimes it can feel overwhelming tackling multiple problems, but doing it one at a time will help you to manage things easily.

5. Let go

Highly positive people let go of the things that do not support them in living a conscious and positive life. This includes toxic and negative relationships.

I once had to let go of a deep friendship of 10 years because we were severely holding each other back. While I was always working on bettering myself, he tended to procrastinate on his own development and would at times live vicariously through my progress.

His lack of proactiveness in living the life of his dreams would negatively impact me as we had always agreed to work on our life goals together and take action together as best buds. I also felt that I was responsible for his inactions if he was truly living vicariously through my own goal progress.

While we tried to work things out in the beginning, it never happened. All our attempts to resolve this issue drained us as we kept going round in circles. After years as buddies, we were simply not compatible as each other’s good friend anymore.

We finally parted ways after 10 years and we immediately felt relieved of a dead weight.

Looking back I wish we had moved on earlier because the later years of our friendship actually drained us more than they helped us to grow.

Think about the negative things in your life right now — from toxic people, to energy vampires, to negative beliefs, to unhappy thoughts, to things that trigger unhappy memories — and start letting go of them, one by one. The sooner you let them go, the happier you will be.

6. Take responsibility for your life

Highly positive people take responsibility for their lives because they realize that happiness is a choice.

For all the problems, heartaches, toxic people, and baggage you are facing, take responsibility for them. While you may not have created those problems and they may be the result of others’ misactions, you can still take responsibility for experiencing them. Doing so puts you in the position to put a stop to them.

For example, I once experienced a heartbreak with someone I liked. While initially I faulted him for bringing me such pain and anguish, it was only in the later years when I took responsibility for my emotions and the situation that I was finally able to move on.

I later realized that I can literally control my happiness by taking responsibility of my negative emotions (and subsequently my life). Because it’s when I do that I can then take action to address my unhappiness and the situations causing it, rather than putting blame on others. Subsequently, I was able to easily move on from two other relationships that didn’t work out.

7. Spread love and kindness (by helping others)

Last but not least, highly positive people spread love and kindness to others without expecting to get anything back in return.

One of the most rewarding things one can do in life is to help others. This is something I have experienced every day for my past five years of running my personal development blog.

The changes I see in my readers’ lives, the happy looks on their faces, and the deep emotional shifts they experience from reading my articles or attending my courses — these bring so much joy into my life and are reason enough for me to continue what I’m doing forever.

While some of us may think that we need to achieve X status or Y age before we can help others, that’s not true at all. The simplest things can help others: one little phone call to a distanced friend, one pat on the back to congratulate a co-worker for a job well done, or a shoulder to lean on for a friend in need.

I started my blog at a relatively young age of 24 which most people wouldn’t think of as an old-enough age to offer help or advice to others. That was a limiting belief on their part though, because we can always help others no matter how old we are or where we are in life.

In the past five years I was able to help many break through limiting careers, let go of toxic relationships, gain strength from hard moments, excel in their goals, and achieve greater heights by simply focusing on helping those I can help, one step at a time.

If I had thought that one person couldn’t make a difference, I wouldn’t be sitting here writing this blog post today, and neither would I be running a personal development blog or doing life coaching for others.

You have more power than you think you have, so use that to help others. You will find that when you give, you will naturally receive in return as well.

Apply these 7 habits of highly positive people

10 Ways to Get into Money Vibration

Tuesday, 1 October 2013

Hi readers, I saw this article recently and decided to share, lets have your thoughts..Enjoy.

10 Ways to Get into Money Vibration
It’s necessary these days to have money so that your basic needs would be covered freeing you to work on more important things, such as spiritual matters. To help you with this, I will give you 10 ways to get into money vibration.
These 10 tips will neutralise the vibration of lack and introduce the vibration of wealth into your being.
The first thing you need to do to get into money vibration is to start sharing with people what you already have, even if you have very little. This sharing action will affirm to you mind that you have so much of wealth that you can even share it.
The second thing to do is to get out of the debt, even if you need to sell your stuff for it, and never get back into the debt. Debt enslaves you to the person or institution you owe and locks you into the vibration of lack and helplessness.
The third thing you need to do is to stop talking negatively about your financial situation. Complaining about it again locks you into this negative vibration. Only talk about your finances if you have something positive to say about it, for example, if your money situation is improving.
Number four: stop worrying about money, comfort, security and other material things. You can stop worrying about such matters by increasing your faith in God.
Number five: observe nature to learn the lessons it has about abundance. Everything in nature happens effortlessly and the manifestations of abundance are everywhere. Look at the sky and see a group of birds flying; look at the ground and see countless ants working; look at the trees to observe an abundance of lush leaves moving with the wind. Train your eye this way to focus on abundance everywhere, rather than lack, and this way your mind will manifest abundance in your life too.
Tip number six. Don’t accept lack statements from the people you know. Especially if you live with people who have a vibration of lack, learn to guard your mind against their harmful statements. When someone says something like that, mentally reject their statement and instead affirm something positive. This will make your mind strong and it will be able to resist being dragged down into the lower vibrations.
The seventh thing to do is to meditate on flowing water, like near the river, for example. The flow of water is the representation of the flow of money. Keep this observation in mind, this only one thought, when observing the flowing water.
Number eight: Spend money to make money. Even though you may have very little money, learn to spend it wisely. At this stage of lack it’s vitally important for you to put the roots of money multiplication into your being. You can do that by investing your money to make more money, be it by monetising a domain, keeping money in a bank account with a good interest rate or buying something like a washing machine or a lawnmower for other people to rent. This will not only multiply your money but will also teach a valuable lesson of passive income.
Tip number nine: balance your root, sacral and solar plexus chakras so that you would feel stable, self assured and attuned to the material money vibration if having more money is your goal.
And the last tip I will give you in this article is to replace cheap stuff with wealth affirming items in your home. It’s better, for example, to have much fewer good quality clothes than many cheap things to wear. Everything in your surroundings affirms whether you are wealthy or poor, so make sure that at least your home is the symbol of abundance rather than lack.
All these tips will help you to raise your vibration to that of money, finally opening you up to the flow of wealth.

Let your light shine!!

Sunday, 29 September 2013

"The government of a nation is a direct mirror, or reflection, of those who live in it. Therefore, it is not accurate to refer to “those in power,” as you are wont to do, for they can only exist as a result of the choices of each and every one of you. Such a mindset is an indication that you have given away your power! THE UNIVERSE WILL RESPOND TO YOU INDIVIDUALLY, NO MATTER WHAT THE OTHERS ARE DOING. Even if there are policemen on every corner, you may wave cheerfully to them, or rant and rave and cause yourself upset.

You cannot control the actions of another! You can, however, control how the universe, and the people in it, respond to you. We tell you that YOU CAN FIND HAPPINESS AND PROSPERITY NO MATTER THE CONDITIONS! (big wave of love here, and complete certainty)

Once you begin to focus exclusively on well–being, you will find your life changing for the better in magical ways.

Not only that, but when you change your focus exclusively to well–being, you influence the environment around you. You become a lighthouse, a beacon shining your light into the world. The way to truly change the world for the better is by setting an example. You have no idea how powerful your light can be! One person broadcasting a powerful signal of well–being is more powerful than a million disconnected ones. Believe it or not, one person shining his or her light may influence the million and do so much more quickly than you can imagine."

Which Righteous Man Do You Want To Be?

Friday, 27 September 2013
Which Righteous Man Do You Want To Be?

Genesis 24:1
1Now Abraham was old, well advanced in age; and the Lord had blessed Abraham in all things.

The Bible says that Abraham was righteous. But do you know that his nephew Lot was righteous too? (2 Peter 2:7–8) Yet, both men lived very different lives. Although they both lived under God’s grace some 400 years before the law was given, Abraham was very blessed, whereas Lot lost a lot!

Both men had large herds and flocks. When their herdsmen started quarrelling over space, Abraham took the initiative to make peace. He even let Lot pick the lands that he wanted. Both men were righteous, but one was more gracious than the other.

Lot picked the well-watered plain of Jordan, where the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah were. He dwelt there and pitched his tent as far as Sodom. Eventually, he lived in Sodom. Now, Sodom and Gomorrah in the Bible represent a sinful lifestyle. Some Christians think, “Since I am righteous by faith and under God’s grace, I can live a sinful lifestyle.”

Well, let’s learn from Lot. He first saw Sodom, then his feet walked toward it and finally he went into it. I like what a great man of God said: “Sin will take you farther than you want to go, keep you longer than you want to stay and cost you more than you want to pay.” What did Lot end up paying?

He was captured when four kings plundered Sodom and Gomorrah. And even after Abraham rescued him with the help of God, he did not learn his lesson. He went back to Sodom. Some Christians live from one bail-out to another. God delivers them from, say, debt, and they go right back to borrowing money or gambling! Sodom and Gomorrah were eventually destroyed. Lot escaped with only the clothes on his back and even lost his wife in the process.

Beloved, you are the righteousness of God in Christ. When you truly understand what Jesus did to make you the righteousness of God, it will cause you to fall out of love with sin and fall in love with God. Then, it will not be hard to have a heart for God, as Abraham did, and like Abraham, be blessed in all things!

3 Very Simple Steps That Will Help You to Be a Lot Less Nervous in Social Situations.

Thursday, 26 September 2013

“Do not anticipate trouble or worry about what may never happen. Keep in the sunlight.”
Benjamin Franklin

One very common question I have gotten over the years goes something like this:

“I always get nervous before a date/meeting/social gathering and that holds me back from being my true and best self and from doing and getting what I want. What can I do to overcome this?”

This is an issue that used to hold me back too in the past and I have more experience with it than I would have ever wanted.

Back when I was still single I often got quite nervous before a date.

And before that, when I didn’t have a date at all in a long time, I got nervous before most social situations.

It was no fun.

Things weren’t hopeless though. And today I would like to share three small habits and steps that, simply put, totally changed my life.

Step 1: Slow down.

A few minutes before you step into the meeting, job interview or date that makes you nervous slow down.

Walk slower to the meeting place. Move slower.

Then stop.

Step 2: Breathe.

Stand still or sit down for a minute. And then just breathe. Take a little deeper breaths than usual.

Make sure you breathe with your belly and not with your chest (a common problem when people get nervous).

Focus on just your slow in-breaths and out-breaths for a minute or two.

This will calm your mind and body down, make it easier to think normally again and that singular focus will draw you back into this moment again instead of leaving you lost in the thoughts of past failures or future worries that can be so destructive.

Step 3: Assume rapport.

Assuming rapport means that just before you met someone you pretend and think to yourself that you are meeting one of your best friends.

Doing this will allow you to naturally slip into a much more relaxed, comfortable, confident and enjoyable emotional state and frame of mind. In this frame of mind the conversation and smiles tends to flow naturally, without much thinking.

Just like with your best friends.

It is, in my experience, a very simple habit to adopt but at the same time it is also an incredibly powerful habit for tapping into your best social self.

By using these three steps over and over they will become habits that are easy to use. And over time as you get good results in social situations the old normal of feeling nervous will be replaced by a new normal.

A normal where you are – at least most of the time – relaxed and confident in social situations because all your recent experiences put together have changed how you view yourself and what you expect on dates, in meetings and other such situations.

And at this point you will only have to use these three steps from time to time socially.

Colossians 3: 12-14

Kindness is a practical expression of love. When you are a kind and loving person, the first place it shows is in your family and then in the church. Do not forget to entertain strangers because you sometimes entertain angels just like Abraham did when he entertained three strangers (Hebrews 13: 1-3). Afterwards, God gave the exact time his child would be born.

Abraham connected with his destiny through kindness and barrenness was terminated from his and Sarah’s lives. He did not know it was God and angels when he compelled them to stop to rest. Afterwards, God felt He had to intimate him about His plans of going to Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 18). Many people have missed out on opportunities to encounter God when they did not show kindness because they felt the people were undeserving. Our attitudes would be different if we realise that God could show up in the form of a human being in need.

Love is action. The measure of love is sacrifice. God came to the earth in human form and laid down His life for us. It is time to show God’s kind of love. (John 3:16; 1 John 3: 16-18). Kindness is one of the characteristics of a true Christian. Material blessings are not the greatest proofs of showing a blessed person because even crooks have great material wealth. Yes, God blesses us when we obey Him but the distinguishing factor between Christians and unbelievers is the quality of their character. Without God, you are incapable of loving unconditionally (Romans 5:5). Many of us have suffered painful experiences so that all we have to give is pain. Thus, cycles of oppression are created because we feel others have to go through the same pain we have had to endure. When you become a Christian, God takes you out of such destructive cycles of cruelty, self-centredness and harshness. If you do not have the excellent qualities listed in 2 Peter 1:5-10, your life will not be different from when you were an unbeliever. You cannot love and fail.

When you are kind, you have a benevolent disposition; you are humane, gentle, mild and sensitive to other people’s feelings. Any fool can criticise but it takes a mature person to try to understand why a person is acting in a particular way. When you put yourself in another person’s position, you will be less critical. A lot of the time, the people who hurt us do so because they are hurting. Remember, hurting people, hurt people. Repaying them with more hurt makes the situation worse. What they need is healing, encouragement and understanding. When Jesus was being crucified, He didn’t ask that the people should be punished; instead He asked God to forgive them. Rise beyond the pain, hatred and disappointment. Shine God’s love into people’s lives so that He has the opportunity to change your life, the lives of the recipients of your love and by extension, our world. Moral and character superiority distinguish a Christian. Don’t show kindness only to those you feel deserve it (Matthew 5: 38- 48). This week, be sensitive! Put yourself in other people’s shoes and try to provide some comfort.

Someone Has Their Eye on You

Friday, 20 September 2013

There's a young lady in Scripture by the name of Ruth. Ruth went through a great disappointment. Her husband was killed in a battle, and the future didn't look very bright for her. She moved to a new city with her mother-in-law, Naomi. But instead of sitting around saying, "Poor old me" in self-pity, Ruth reached out and helped take care of Naomi. Not only that, she got up every morning very early and went out into the fields and gathered up the leftover wheat that the reapers had missed.

One day, the owner of that field noticed Ruth. His name was Boaz. He noticed how beautiful she was and what a hard worker she was. What's interesting is that Ruth didn't know anybody was watching her. She didn't even know who Boaz was. She just kept working hard, doing her best, and caring for Naomi.

The point to think about today is that even though you may not realize it, somebody has their eyes on you. A supervisor is noticing your excellence. A manager is noticing your character. A friend is noticing your faithfulness. If you are single, you may think there is nobody to meet, but you don't know who God is about to bring into your life. You don't know who has their eyes on you.

Long story short, Ruth and Boaz fell in love and ended up getting married. Ruth no longer had to work in the field—she owned the field! Like Ruth you may have gone through a difficult time, but let me tell you, God has another Boaz out there. God has already lined up somebody to notice you, somebody to befriend you, somebody to promote you, somebody to make your life more fulfilled. That disappointment was not the end. It's a new beginning. It may have been a setback, but God has already lined up the right people to help you come back. Trust and believe that God has His best in store. He has the opportunities lined up; He has good breaks and favor in store for your future. He has the right people in the right positions ready to give you a hand up. Always remember that someone has their eye on you!

"…She asked him, 'Why have I found such favor in your eyes that you notice me—a foreigner?' Boaz replied, 'I've been told all about what you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband—how you left your father and mother and your homeland and came to live with a people you did not know before. May the LORD repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the LORD, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.'" (Ruth 2:10-12, NIV)

Beyond Begging

Wednesday, 18 September 2013

In the Scripture, there was a lady who came to Jesus and started begging Him to heal her daughter. She said, "Please, Jesus, my daughter is so bad. Would You please? I'm begging You to heal her."

Jesus was normally so compassionate. Throughout the Scripture, He went around healing everyone. A blind man said, "Jesus, have mercy," and He went over and healed him. A soldier came up and said, "My daughter is sick. Will you come to my house?" Jesus went out of His way again and again to heal so many different people. But what's interesting is that Jesus practically ignored this lady who was begging. He didn't give her the time of day.

After a while, she realized begging wasn't going to do her any good. The Scripture says, "She fell at Jesus' feet and started worshipping Him, started thanking Him, started giving Him praise."

All of the sudden, Jesus stopped what He was doing, looked at the woman and said, "Your daughter is perfectly well. You can go home. Everything is okay."

Today, know that what begging won't do, praise will. Don't be a beggar. Instead, be a believer. When you pray, switch over into praise which is what opens the door for God to act. Don't get stuck year after year begging, "God, please heal me. God, please give me that promotion. God, I'm just begging You." No, instead; all through the day say, "Father, thank You that I'm healthy. Thank You that my business is blessed. Thank You that promotion is coming." Get beyond begging and get into praising and watch His hand of blessing on every area of your life!

"Oh, give thanks to the LORD! Call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples!" (1 Chronicles 16:8, NKJV)

The Four Horsemen and the Four Faces of God

The Four Horsemen and the Four Faces of God
“The primary weapon of the enemy is the weapon of force. But the enemy has been disarmed from that weapon since the Bible says that Christ has removed the handwriting of requirements which is the law by nailing it to the cross, and having disarmed principalities and powers, he made a spectacle of them openly. The devil has lost his primary weapon, but he still uses his secondary weapon which is the weapon of fear. He has lost his teeth, but he has not lost his roar. A lion with teeth does not need to go around roaring at its prey. It simply goes in for the kill. If one is able to overcome the roar, one is rendered undevourable. Being untouchable by both force and fear makes one truly invincible. Remember that all physical force can only happen when metaphysical force is successful. If one’s metaphysical force is strong enough to repel all other metaphysical forces, the enemy can’t even get through with physical force. When one is able to use force, one does not need to use fear. Force is a higher weapon than fear. But what is even higher than force is the weapon of deception. Deception is not really a weapon but yet it can be considered the only true weapon. Lack of awareness is what enables the enemy to use force and fear effectively on you.
The devil’s four weapons and their order are represented by the four horsemen in the Bible. The white horse represents deception of false doctrine. The red horse represents force of warfare and violence. The black horse represents fear, lack and limitation. The pale horse represents death, sickness and destruction. The answer to the four horsemen is the four faces of Jesus or God. The face of the lion repels the white horse by the fire of truth against lies and ignorance. The face of the Man represents Man’s supreme place as master of the universe, master of the forces, creator and sovereign authority of his reality. It neutralizes and counters the red horse with its awareness and ultimate metaphysical force. The face of the ox represents strength, fearlessness and stability. God has not given us the spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind. Strength is power, love is the opposite of fear and stability is a sound mind. The face of the eagle represents having a divine perspective of the life of God that negates all forms of death and sicknesses, loss and even destruction. In the path of the righteous, there is no death. Death is the final enemy to be destroyed because death is the lingering effect.
The devil’s first weapon is deception, followed by the rest. The first weapon must work before the other weapons can work. If one overcomes at the first level, one overcomes at all levels. This is why awareness is the key, and intelligence is the most important thing in the universe. Awareness is power, and if you have full awareness, you are omnipotent. Where there are no weak spots, the enemy is always trying to create a weak spot from time to time. That is why you have to remain aware of when you are weaker in any of the areas whether it is force, fear or death/disease/loss.
Each time the enemy attempts to weaken you in an area, it is an opportunity for you to strengthen yourself in that area. The enemy is taking a big gamble against you where they usually have a higher probability of winning, but if you win, they lose big. Of course in the overall, the odds are greatly stacked against them where they would ultimately lose to you, but they still have a chance of winning, which is the reason why they even fight in the first place. Therefore their strategy tends to target the masses where they would be able to amass many small victories, and to target the powerful ones less. That is why awareness a defense.
The Bible says that knowledge is a defense. The more aware you are, the more you are usually left in peace. And if the enemy decides to attack, it is a situation where you can gain a lot if you win, and cause them to lose a lot on the overall as well. Be sober and vigilant. Cast your cares upon the Lord to overcome the weapon of fear. Be aware of the truth in all areas of force, fear and death. This puts you above all weapons and makes you a force not to be trifled with. Your weapons and defenses are superior, and you don’t even have to fight because you are not in conflict with yourself. You have become one pointed and complete. This is all power, all freedom and all abundance.”

Time can be influenced backwards and forwards mentally. “To make your present as best as possible, you have to make your past and future as best as possible.” All things in the present are directed by the Future. Use the Past and Future Technique by thinking about the best possible future, and then think about your past and imagine certain things playing out differently in it. When you mentally align your past into the best possible version, things in the present will shift towards your best possible future. Jesus is Alpha and Omega. He is the Final Self and the Original Self. He can align your past, present and future into that which is best.
