"...he leadeth me beside still waters".(Psalms 23 vs 2). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today.

In Today's Focal Scripture, the Psalmist declared that the Shepherd leads him beside still waters. He declared that the Lord leads him even when the waters are calm. He declared that the Shepherd leads the way even when there is no trouble in his waters. He declared that even in the absence of turbulent and destructive waves, the Lord still leads him.

Isn't it tragic that unlike the Psalmist, we often need God's leading when the waters of life are fierce, only to walk away when the waters have been calmed by God? Our voices are often loud in the place of prayer when we are in danger;we seem to get really serious in our relationship with God when we want something from Him,we easily appreciate God's leading when there is trouble, but often when the seas of life are calm, we walk away as if we don't need God anymore.

Friend, glean a lesson from the Psalmist: Allow God to lead the way even when your waters are still and calm. Allow God to preside over your affairs even when there is no danger. Live a life of obedience to God even when you don't have a request to make from Him.

Beloved, you might be walking beside the "still waters" of life now,but God still wants to do the leading. You might be at that point in your life when everything is seems to be working for you;God still wants to lead!

Did you abandon his leading because of the little success in your career or business? Has your prayer life and study life nose-dived because of the comfort you think you have now. Listen!! After the STILL WATERS is the VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH. If you abandon him at the Still waters, you will need him at the Valley of the Shadow of death!

Let God lead the way in your destiny now...

Pray with me,"Lord, even when the waters of my destiny are calm, still lead me while I follow in Jesus name".

Have a Splendid Tuesday!
